The fragrance is inspired by Venice and its famous “Briccole”. The “briccole” are wooden pegs made of oak (sometimes larch) that delimit the navigable areas in the lagoon canals of Venice. Every twenty years or so, the “briccole” has to be replaced as it is affected by salt and, above all, by the erosion of a sea shell (Teredeo navalis) that feeds on wood. Locherber Milano bought the exhausted “Briccole” from the Municipality of Venice, which certifies its origin with a certificate of origin, recovers it and transforms it into unique pieces thanks to the experience of its local artisans who use methods handed down from generation to generation.
The caps are individually modeled on the lathe and strictly handcrafted and become true jewels of high craftsmanship.
The scent is as fresh as a sea breeze, as sensual as the oriental spices that the merchants of the Serenissima brought to Europe. Venetiae tells the magic of a city unique in the world and its fascinating history. A fragrance that begins with notes of iodine and citrus of bergamot and lemon, develops into floral aromas (lavender) and Mediterranean aromas (myrtle and algae) and ends in a woody and musky finish.
