Linen Terry Towel "Sauna"
For the really tough. Linen terry from Finland.
Jokipiin Pellava in Finland weaves this unique linen terry towel from linen and cotton. Due to its high linen content of 70%, it has a massaging effect and is therefore particularly suitable for use in the sauna. The light towel is solid-colored in off-white. A slightly darker tone is created in the "Black-Natural" color variant by using a black cotton twisted yarn in the weft. Unbleached, undyed cotton twisted yarn is used in the warp, and undyed and unbleached linen yarn in the loop warp.
Terry.
Genuine terry is a three-thread woven loop fabric (made of warp, weft, and loop) which, due to its third (loop) thread, is much more voluminous and absorbent than the mere terry-like two-thread (only warp and weft) towelling. Since opinions on towels differ and we want to cater to both those who prefer soft towels and those who appreciate rougher goods, we offer terry towels in various qualities: In addition to two cotton terry towels, one of which is particularly soft and fluffy, and the other – in the spirit of the best hotel linen – voluminous yet grainy to the touch, we present a durable linen-cotton quality that is rarely found today.
Yarn count.
We specify the yarn count in Nm (Number metric), where: the higher the number, the finer the yarn. A yarn count of Nm 100 means that 100 meters of a yarn weigh 1 gram. An additional digit is appended if the yarn is twisted from several single yarns, for example, Nm 100/3 for a yarn made of three single yarns.
